When deploying POE power supply technology equipment, what kind of network cable should be selected? What aspects to consider when choosing network cable?
POE power supply must use oxygen free copper cable, that is, standard cable.
Standard network cables must be connected in accordance with the T568A or T568B standards. The better the quality of the network cable, the higher the stability of data transmission, at least the super five types of network cable, if the budget cost is enough, you can choose to transmit farther and better 6 types of network cable.
The PoE power module can be supplied in two modes: End-Span and mid-span crossover
End-Span is powered by the switch port, and the power portion of the switch must use a PoE power module. mid-span loads power through PoE power providers in the middle of the line, and both modes now support loading power and signals on the data pair.
There are two standard power supply modes for the PoE module: Alternative A and Alternative B.
Alternative A uses the 1, 2, 3, and 6 cores of the network cable for power supply. Alternative B uses the 4, 5, 7, and 8 cores of the network cable for power supply. Because of the four cores of 1, 2, 3 and 6 used in 100 gigabit data transmission, all 8 cores are used in gigabit data transmission. As a result:
(1)For 100 Mbit PoE devices:In the Alternative A power supply standard, only core wires 1, 2, 3, and 6 are connected to each other. Under the Alternative B power supply standard, eight-core network cables must be used, and all eight-core cables must be connected.
(2)For gigabit PoE devices:Due to data transmission requirements, both Alternative A and Alternative B require 8-core network cables to be connected.
The Gigabit Ethernet complies with IEEE802.3a wiring standards,Support to enhance the wiring system of more than five categories, as long as the components of the wiring system and the entire channel are in line with the Cat.5e standard, whether in accordance with the a or b standard wiring can support gigabit.
Gigabit Ethernet is full duplex operating on 4 pairs of lines, and there is no half duplex gigabit network equipment on the market.
There are two types of gigabit PoE power supply interfaces:1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-TX.They both use four pairs of lines, but in different ways.
1000BASE-TX is two pairs of 500M to send, the other two pairs of 500M to receive, so it can reach 1000M full duplex (2000M throughput). This interface must be supported by six types of cables.
1000BASET-T, is four pairs in the same transmit 250M, can achieve 250* 4,1000M full-duplex transmission. This interface can be used on both Class 5 and Class 6 cables.
At present, the interface of most devices is 1000BASE-T, and the cost of the device interface of 1000BASE-T is slightly higher than that of 1000BASE-TX, because 1000BASE-T requires the device interface to have crosstalk cancellation technology.
